Reaching a 100,000 okadabooks users is no small feat but somehow we did it!
So I just wanted to use this opportunity to personally thank all the authors and users who believed in the possibility that Nigerian writers deserve to be paid handsomely for their words. We are not there yet but we are 100,000 users closer.
But most importantly, I want to thank our small and dedicated team of bootstrappers who worked relentlessly behind the scenes to bring us to this epic point.
From our developers to our marketers to our social media management team. As a company, we have bootstrapped our way through obstacles including working with limited budgets, without an office, battling NEPA and part-time workers all driven by the singular goal to reinvent publishing in Nigeria.
And I guess that's what makes our company special because we have been able to do so much with so little. Next year our goal is to go BIG! We want to really push our limits and positively disrupt publishing in Nigeria for good. So as we always say ... thanks for riding with us!
PS: Testing has begun on the iOS app and it looks so so beautiful right now and I can't wait for you to see the final product. However, if you want to test out the prototype version do send an email to ios@okadabooks.com we would love your feedback.
